Meet Jaki
I began sewing when I was 9 years old, and started quilting in early adulthood. Shortly after marriage and having a family, I started Quilt Studio 55 as a home business. Today, Quilt Studio 55 has won quilt show awards, grown into an online store with hundreds of products, offers longarm services, and hosts in-studio sewing classes.
Women Who Inspired My Journey
-
Roselma Jacques Demers
As a child I remember many hand made quilts in our home, all made by my grandmother. All of her quilts were hand pieced and hand quilted. We used them until they were loved and worn to pieces. She inspired me to learn this traditional craft and embrace the art form.

Laura Dewey Bridgeman
When my daughter was in fourth grade she read the book Silent Night, about Laura, who was blind deaf and mute. The story affected me to the point where every time we read together, I had tears. Laura is my model of strength and fortitude.
